  • OUR WEDNESDAY EVENING PROGRAMS AND SUPPER ARE SUSPENDED FOR THE SUMMER.  The Ignite Student Ministry and Praise Team rehearsals will continue.
  • GRADUATESCongratulations to our 2019 graduates!  Ryleigh Grace Jennings – Pre-k from Chesterbrook Academy   Amanda Noelle Miller – Challenger Early College HS and CVCC Associate in Arts   Jennifer Lynn Clark – CPCC with Associates Degree in Health Information Technology – daughter of Charlie & Debbie Rhodarmer   Garrett Chatlin – William & Mary College with a BS in Psychology with honors (cum laude) – grandson of Bob & Becky Davis.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  YOUTH CAMP: The youth are off to camp again this summer and we are planning on providing treat bags for them.  Things we have included in the past are devotion cards, bible bookmarks, snacks, chips and treats of any kind.  If you would like to participate in contributing to the bags, please see Lisa Cunningham.  There will be 11 participants this year.  This year’s camp dates will be June 16-21.
  • MISSION OPPORTUNITIES:  The Hickory Crawdads & Pregnancy Care Center are cooperating in holding Make a Difference on Monday, June 24th.  Anyone who brings a baby item valued at $5 or more will be admitted to the game for free.  Items needed include diapers to size 5, sleepers to size 9 months, clothing from newborn to size 2, receiving blankets, and bottles in 4 and 8 oz. size.  We can get a group together and attend as a church.  If you are interested in attending the game, let Linda Robinette know.
  • SAVE THE DATES:  June 26th   Parliamentary Procedure & Roberts Rules of Order in the Sanctuary at 6 pm , July 31st   Fellowship & Covered Dish at the Hilton’s at 6 pm , and August 21st  Fellowship & Covered Dish at the Keys at 6 pm.
  • COMMUNION SERVICE:  MGBC will celebrate Father’s Day and share in the The Lord’s Supper on Sunday, June 16th

  • MISSION OPPORTUNITY:  Mountain Grove will collect the Mother’s Day offering during May.  The offering is used to pay part or all of the bills at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for individuals who have financial need.  To read stories of how the offering has benefited some patients, go to www.mothersdayoffering.org.  Please pray that Baptists across the state will support the offering financially and in prayer so that more individuals will see God’s love in action.

CHILDREN’S SUNDAY:  Sunday, May 19th the children of MGBC will present a play for our Sunday Morning Worship Service. SENIOR LUNCHEON: There will be a covered dish luncheon at Bethel United Church of Christ on May 15th.  All seniors are invited to bring a dish and attend this event with seniors from Royal Chapel, Zion Lutheran, and Bethel United.  There will be fun and games after the lunch.
