  • A BENEVOLENCE OFFERING will be received at the exits today for those in need in our community.  Please help if you can.
  • SUNDAY JULY 7THSunday morning, July 7th, our congregation will be asked to help us pick out the opening 2 hymns of the service.  We will sing a verse or two of several of your selections.  Please be thinking about what you would like to sing and when asked, tell us your hymn of choice.
  • OUR WEDNESDAY EVENING PROGRAMS AND SUPPER ARE SUSPENDED FOR THE SUMMER.  The Ignite Student Ministry and Praise Team rehearsals will continue.

  • VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL:  Please join us for VBS on July 15 – 19th; ages 4 and up.  Dinner will be served each night at 5:15 and VBS runs from 6 – 8:45 p.m.  If you would like to help, please contact Meg Lowman and see how you can help work with the children.  Online registration is available on our website.  Please join us on Sunday, July 21st for the children’s worship service followed by a family meal and carnival.
  • MISSIONS OPPORTUNITY:  We will collect food for Cooperative Christian Ministry during July.  Non-perishable foods can be placed in the grocery cart in the hallway behind the sanctuary.  In addition to regular family size cans, CCM also needs individual size cans to distribute to single persons and to homeless individuals.  If you have any questions, contact Linda Robinette.
  • DEACON NOMINATIONS:  Deacon Nominations will be received next Sunday, June 2nd.  The congregation shall commence the selection of nominees for deacon (each member may vote for (1) woman or man for each vacancy).  The form to use for your voting is included in today’s bulletin.  Please pray for your nominations for deacons.  Remember that those rotating off are ineligible to run again this year.  Please return your nominations in next Sunday’s offertory plate.
  • DEAR CHURCH FAMILY:  We would like to thank you for the wonderful blessing of food and fellowship that we received.  Thank you with love, the Julius (Babe) Gross family.  The thank you card is posted on the bulletin board outside the office
  • MISSIONS OPPORTUNITY:  Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministry is inviting members of their supporting congregations to visit the CM facilities on Wednesday, May 29th.  If anyone is interested in going, please let Linda Robinette know by Monday so that a time can be scheduled.
  • THANK YOU:  From Pastor Jerry Anderson, Minister of Senior Adults and Pastoral Care at Woodlawn Baptist Church:  I wanted to personally say “Thank you” for your help and assistance in collecting, providing, and delivering food for the Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina Food Drive Collection.  Thank you again for your support and for your work.  We were able to deliver a FULL TRAILER this past Saturday to Thomasville.
