  • CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS:   Contribution statements are ready for you to pick up.    They are located on the table across from the men’s Sunday School classroom in the sanctuary.
  • MISSIONS OPPORTUNITY:  Madison Mace, daughter of Jim & Leslie Clay, will be going to Honduras on a medical mission trip from Feb.8th until Feb. 15th.  She and other students in the Allied Health program at CVCC will be providing both medical and dental services to residents of Tela, Honduras.  This is an area that has limited access to electricity, running water and healthcare services.  As a church, we have the opportunity to support Madison by contributing financially to the expenses of this trip which costs $1800 per person.  Please prayerfully consider making a donation to help cover the cost of Madison’s trip.  A love offering will be taken up on Jan. 19th.  If you prefer, you can put your donation in a special offering envelope marked for Helping Hands for Honduras.  Madison will talk briefly about her trip during our Focus on Missions service on Jan. 19th.
  •  YOUTH CONFERENCE:  Our youth will be attending Crossroads Winter Conference in Gatlinburg TN on January 17th – January 20th.  Please be in prayer for all those who will be attending this conference.

  • MISSIONARY PRAYERS:  Please pray for Karen Morrow, CBF missionary who works with refugees in Fort Worth, TX, and for Mark Bennett, SBC missionary who works with homeless men on the streets of Tokyo.

BCH operates 9 facilities for intellectually or developmentally disabled adults who need care and supervision. BCH also runs Good Shepherd Ministries in Guatemala to provide a home for orphans. Please pray for the residents and staff of these facilities.

 

MISSION OPPORTUNITY: Reminder that Christmas gifts for Foster children are to be brought to the church on December 1st. Staff from Department of Social Services will come on Thursday, December 5th to pick them up. Please see Linda Robinette if you have any questions.

  • CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS:  Forms for purchasing Poinsettias are included in your bulletin.  There will also be extra copies in the Education Building and the Sanctuary.  The cost is $9.00 each.  The form needs to be filled out with the money attached by Sunday, November 24th.  The acknowledgements will be in the bulletin on December 15th and the plants can be taken home on Sunday, December 22nd.                                                                            THANKSGIVING FEAST:  FaithJam will be hosting a Thanksgiving Feast for the congregation following the worship service today.   We hope to see everyone at our Church Family Feast!
  • SAVE THE DATE:  The Mountain View Seniors will be having a covered dish luncheon at Zion Lutheran Church on Wednesday, November 20th at 12 noon.

  • MISSION OPPORTUNITY:  During November, our church will collect an offering for Baptist Children’s Homes.  In 2018 BCH provided care for 16,796 children who had to be removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect by their parents.  BCH operates both group homes and foster homes to meet the needs of the children.
  • CALLING ALL KIDS IN ACTION, YOUTH & WMU LADIES:  Sunday, November 24th, we will be making lap blankets for residents of Trinity Ridge.  FaithJam will deliver the blankets in December.  We will meet right after worship service and have a light lunch.  Bring your sewing scissors and help us make the no-sew blankets!!  Last year we made 10 blankets; let’s see how many we can do this year!  Any questions, please see Judy Hilton.
